I purchased this dehumidifier 14 months ago. We only really run it from May - September as the rest of the year it isn™€™t humid enough to warrant running it. That means this product only lasted 6 months of actual run time before it crapped out. Started making loud popping and ticking sounds and then it sent an ™€œEC™€ error message and stopped working all together. Support wouldn™€™t work with me at all since it was outside the 12 month warranty. Thanks for wasting my money and time.

Two of this model dehumidifier that I have failed. One was bad from the day one and I got a replacement unit. This unit worked perfectly fine the first 5 months. All of a sudden, it started to frost in the coils and stopped working. If you want a little excitement in your life go ahead and give this Frigidaire unit a try. I'm sure you'll enjoy unpacking, testing, repacking and shipping back to UPS more than then excess moisture in your basement. Good luck. Please believe me, do not buy this pile of junk.

Great way to reduce cooling costs at home

This unit does a great job of dropping the humidity. We live near the Gulf of Mexico and its always humid. By dropping the humidity, we were able to bump out house temperature up a few degrees, reducing cooling costs in the summer.

Replacement was needed and accomplished

Unfortunately, my original purchase lasted only a few months, then would no longer function. After reaching the appropriate person in customer service, I was told I would be receiving a replacement as soon as I could provide a Serial number. I was not in the location as the humidifier so that delayed things a few days. Then I had to make a follow up call a week two after that. Finally the replacement unit arrived a couple of weeks after that. I am happy that I received a replacement unit but not particularly impressed witht hte time it took.

FFAD3533W1 Dehimudifier Not Working

I received my dehumidifier on 6/10/22 as a replacement for one that had a fatal error F0 code. On November 9, 2023 it quit working. I unplugged it and when I plugged it back in, the display showed 88 then went off. When I pressed the on button, it automatically sets the humidity to 30, the fan comes on but nothing else. No water is coming out of the drain hose. The unit is in perfect condition and I've kept it clean and free from obstruction. It's plugged into an appropriate outlet. I am very disappointed in this problem as its barely out of it's warranty. I've read many comments about Frigidaire not honoring their units and am very concerned. This unit should have never broken after this short amount of time. Buyers beware ...

This is poorest performing dehumidifier I've ever owned. Bought it to replace an older, noisy unit and the basement hasn't gotten to 50% humidity since. First unit in 25 years that wasn't up to the task. Electric bill noticeably higher with this supposed energy star unit. Would not recommend.

Bought this unit in Aug. '22, failed in Sept. '23, a month after warranty expired. Used it only in warmer months and worked great.. But then in began to frost up and afterwards displayed "EC" condenser error which requires service call, or by reading reviews people say it's irreparable.

Works Like We Hoped

We purchased this dehumidifier unit after checking reviews and rating from both rating companies and personal reviewers. This unit replaces a smaller one that we had in our finished basement area. The old unit was smaller and did not last any time at all. This Frigidaire is sturdy and has been working mightily since we set it up shortly after delivery. It runs for 2-3 days before it needs to be emptied, is quiet and seems very efficient. The water reservoir has a handle and a splash guard which is great. When it is full, it is a little heavy but still manageable. So far we are very pleased with this new dehumidifier.

The fan actually circulates COOL air around the room, and it astounds me every day how much water is collected! We live in the United States climate zone 5A, "cool humid", and this product keeps our finished basement dry and comfortable. Would definitely recommend!

Great Dehumidifier!

We have a finished basement that is about 760 sq/ft and in Spring/Summer gets very humid so we have to have a dehumidifier to keep things dry & prevent mold. The dehumidifier we needed to replace was a Kenmore 35 pint which lasted for about 10yrs & worked very well. It gave out this year so needed a replacement. We did research & found the Frigidaire 35 pint had good reviews so we chose that one. It is a bit bigger than the Kenmore but it seemed comparable to other brands so guess they just make them bigger now. The bucket seems to hold a lot more water which can become quite heavy so we empty it out when it is halfway or 3/4 full. We have had this dehumidifier running 24/7 for about 3 weeks now and it works Great! We have it set at 45 to keep it nice and dry. When we turn it off to empty bucket, after only a few minutes, the humidity is 50 & goes up quickly since it has been so humid outside.. it goes back down to 45 after a few minutes. Without the dehumidifier the humidity is way above 50 and you can feel it. So far this dehumidifier is working well & hopefully gives us many more years of a nice dry basement.

My old Frigidaire lasted 9 years so I replaced with another Frigiidaire. Setup was very easy. So far it is really working well and I connected a hose for draining so I don't have to worry about emptying so often. I just hope it has a long life.
